The Islands of the Marquesas are truly stunning! They have majestic towering peaks, generally in the clouds and beautiful sandy bays, fringed with coconut palm trees. Most of the island have small villages and at Vaitahu on the Island of Tahuata there is this charming Church with exquisite stain glass windows. Not quite what you would expect for a small village with a population of 89!
We have now left the bay of Puamau on Hiva-Oa and heading for Ua-Huka. From there we will go to Nuka Hiva.
